Vikings Cricket Club continued their winnings ways in the 2018 Toronto and District Cricket Association Super 50-over competition after recording a comfortable 63-run win over Mississauga Dolphins at Maple Leaf, King City, last Saturday.
Vikings now have played in six matches, chalking up five victories with the other fixture being rained out. Vikings batted first and set up a challenging 194 all out off 36 overs while Mississauga Dolphins, in reply, reached 131-8 in 25.2 overs. One batsman was injured.

this season and once again scored a half-century (55) while Marvin Small and ex-Guyana youth skipper Eugene Lafleur chipped in with 38 and 21 respectively. Slow bowler Salman Nazar captured 4-33 off his 10 overs.
Hassan Mizra led the fight for Dolphins, hitting 42 as medium-pacer Akash Shah snapped up 3-44 from eight overs, while there were two wickets apiece for LaFleur and former Guyana quickie Jeremy Gordon.
Another former Guyana youth cricketer, left-arm spinner Raj Nanna collected a wicket and only conceded a mere three runs from 10 overs among them eight maidens.
The competition continues on Saturday, but Vikings will be out of action owing to a bye. They are set to resume their quest for supremacy on August 8 when they collide with Centurions Cricket Club at the Toronto Cricket, Skating and Curling Club venue. (Ravi Madholall)
