Crime scene photographer testifies in “Gully Bop” murder PI
The Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the murder of 18-year-old Christopher Mansfield continued at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Thursday with the testimony of the crime scene photographer.
Standing trial for the murder of the teen is 21-year-old Shamar Harvey of Lot 135 King Edward Street, Albouystown.
The PI is being heard by Senior Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts with evidence being led by Police Prosecutor Richard Harris.
Kevin Thomas, who is stationed at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Guyana Police Force (GPF), took to the stand and give a detailed account of what he saw when he visited the crime scene on March 31, 2019.
Police stated that now dead teen
was attacked by three males, who were armed with a cutlass, knife, and gun respectively. During the attack, the young man, also known as “Gully Bop”, was stabbed, chopped, and shot dead.
The teen, formerly of Barr Street, Albouystown, was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
