A 40-year-old Cuban man was stabbed to death while attempting to remove a suspect, who is his relative, from a premise on Charlotte Street, Georgetown.
Dead is Lopez Cardenas Yoesmarita.
Police say the incident occurred at about 05:00h on Tuesday morning.
According to the Police, investigations have so far revealed that Yoesmarita was armed with a knife, and was attempting to physically remove the suspect when a scuffle ensued, during which the suspect took away the knife and stabbed Yoesmarita to his lower back.
Police have since taken the suspect into custody. He is presently at the Alberttown Police Station pending further investigation into the matter.
