Mobile Money Guyana (MMG) has partnered with Mattai’s, The Food Market, to facilitate cashless payments through its platform.
Customers shopping at this supermarket can check out with MMG in a fast, safe and cashless manner. “MMG continues to collaborate with organisations and businesses in Guyana to make transactions easier and cashless,” MMG’s Manager of Operations, Jason Lewis related.
He added: “No more will we have to bring cash when getting our essential business done – the MMG team will do all that is necessary to ensure conducting business is safe by entering into partnerships such as this.”
At checkout, customers can choose the option of paying with MMG or they can use this payment option for curbside pick-up and delivery.
“It’s simple and isn’t time-consuming at all. In 30 seconds or less, customers can pay their grocery bill through the supermarket’s merchant code,” said Lewis. “With MMG as a payment option, the only thing you need when making purchases is your mobile phone. It is fast, easy and reliable.”
Payments at Mattai’s can be made to merchant code 09094.
Chief Operations Officer of the supermarket, Suraj Mattai welcomed the inclusion of MMG as a payment option.
“As we continue to face this pandemic, it is important that we implement different safety precautions to protect ourselves and those around us. Not only is MMG fast and reliable, but it is also contactless,” Mattai noted.
Additionally, he requested that persons consider MMG as a primary form of payment.
“I encourage persons shopping with us to utilise this payment option to assist with social distancing and contactless transactions to keep our staff and customers safe,” he said.
Mattai noted information on how to use MMG would be displayed around the supermarket so that customers would be able to understand how to effectively and efficiently utilise the service.
MMG continues to partner with different organisations and businesses to assist with the ease of transaction and the promotion of cashless payment. These organisations and businesses include Royal Castle Guyana, FitRex Fitness Training, Farfan and Mendes, Pieces and Things, and El Dorado Tours.
The company took the opportunity to remind the public to sign up for MMG at www.mmg.gtt.co.gy/register to be a part of the cashless revolution.
