In his visit to the Everest Cricket Club, he was asked how his visit was going, and Grave responded, “Fantastic! It’s great to be here at Everest. The sun is shining, and an international match between Ireland and Uganda is taking place here.
“I’ve just been fortunate to have a tour of the facilities, which are fantastic, and (am) remarking to the members here. This is a blueprint not just for clubs in Guyana, but for the whole Caribbean on how to have fantastic facilities for young cricketers, and for recreational cricketers to still play the game and love the game.”
Grave also noted that it is great to see all the work and effort invested in the club by a lot of volunteering, goodwill, support from the membership and corporate Guyana in terms of being able to improve the facilities not just for cricket, but for other sports.

Grave has also been appreciative of the change in weather, after the Caribbean has had many months of rain, and he praised the ground staff by saying the condition of the grounds is testimony to the hard work put in by all the clubs. Further, he iterated his praise for the Government of Guyana for investing in the facilities, and has said he is optimistic that the improvements would continue with the support of the clubs, the Guyana Cricket Board, the Guyana Government, and sponsors.
the CWI CEO has said: “On behalf of Cricket West Indies, I want to thank Everest Cricket Club and all the members and the corporate supporters that have enabled this club to upgrade its facilities; and hopefully, (it would) be here for cricketers in Guyana for many, many years to come.”
