CWI U15 Rising Stars: Pereira, Ramdehol, Hetmyer guide Guyana to victory

Off-spinner Ravaldo Pereira, Richard Ramdehol, and Captain Adrian Hetmyer with a half-century, led Guyana to a 91-run victory over the Windward Islands in the fourth round of the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Rising Stars Under-15 Championships in Antigua on Monday.
With the match being played at the Bethesda Sports Ground in Antigua and Barbuda, Windward Islands Under-15s won the toss and elected to field first, and the Guyanese batters took full advantage of this development.

Khush Seegobin, who opened the batting, spanked the ball for a brisk 35 runs from 39 balls, while Captain Hetmyer contributed 52 runs from 58 deliveries, and Shamar Apple scored 43 runs from 46 balls, to get Guyana to 251-6 in their 50 overs.
Aravinda Bishop was phenomenal with his line and length, as he led the Windwards’ bowling attack in claiming 3-35 from 10 overs, while Khavaughn Bartholomew disturbed the stumps on two occasions for 2-49 from 10 overs, and Jeshaun Joseph took one wicket.
The Guyanese bowlers, prolific in their endeavours, bowled out the Windwards batters for 160 within 39.3 overs, although Captain Earsinho Fontaine resisted with 35 runs off 65 balls.
Pereira (3-35-6 overs) and Ramdehol (3-7- 4 overs) led the bowling attack for the Guyanese Team in taking three wickets apiece, while Gilbert Griffith and Emmanuel Lewis did not miss out on the action, each obstructing the wickets once respectively.
The Guyana U15s will look to continue their dominance in the CWI Rising Stars Under-15 Championship today at Liberta Sports Club when they come against the Leeward Islands.
