The Guyanese Women will be aiming to bounce back against their Trinidad and Tobago counterparts today (Thursday June 9) at Providence in the second round of Cricket West Indies Women’s T20 Blaze.
The two teams will play the first of three matches at the National Stadium at Providence, EBD from 10:00h local time, and the Guyanese would be hoping that their collective batting clicks after they failed to chase down 87 runs against Barbados in their opening match.

Trinidad and Tobago themselves have suffered a 79-run defeat against Jamaica in the third match on the first day of the tournament, after a batting collapse which saw them being bowled out for 55.
With the batting prowess of both Guyana and Trinidad under the microscope, the team that bats better may emerge victorious.
West Indies all-rounder Chinelle Henry had helped Jamaica secure a 79-run victory over Trinidad and Tobago. Tall and capable, Henry smashed the first half-century of the tournament – 52 off 38 balls, with seven boundaries – as Jamaica made the day’s highest score: 133-6 off 20 overs.
Natasha McLean got the Jamaicans off to a flying start with 30 off 27 balls, which included five boundaries. She and Rashada Williams posted an opening stand of 29, before Williams fell for 10. Skipper Stafanie Taylor added 14, which included two boundaries.
