CXC, CAPE results to be announced today

…students can access grades online from 18:00h

Education Minister Priya Manickchand is set to announce the results of the 2022 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) and the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) today.
This announcement will take place at the Anna Regina Multilateral School, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), today at 14:00h.
Meanwhile, students in Guyana and 15 other Caribbean territories who sat the various examinations administered by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) will be able to access their results online via their student portal from 18:00h (6:00 pm) Atlantic Standard Time (AST) today, Monday, September 5.

The official release of results ceremony for the CXC May/June 2022 regional examinations, will take place today at 10:00 am AST, at the Gros-Islet Human Resource Development Centre in Saint Lucia.
That country’s Education, Sustainable Development, Innovation, Science, Technology, and Vocational Training Minister, Shawn Edward will deliver the feature address.
Remarks will also be delivered by the CEO and Registrar of CXC, Dr Wayne Wesley, and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education Sustainable Development, Innovation, Science, Technology and Vocational Training, St Lucia, Michelle Charles.
Meanwhile, the Director of Operations, Examination Services Division, CXC, Dr Nicole Manning will deliver a presentation on the 2022 Examination Administration and Results.
In addition to remarks from the Education Ministry and CXC officials, attendees will also be treated to a cultural performance. The event will be streamed live online at cxc.org/cxctv
The CXC has established a helpdesk service to provide support to candidates accessing their results via the student portal. For assistance, candidates may contact the CXC Helpdesk service in Barbados at 1-246-227-1700 or in Jamaica at 1-876-630-5200, between the hours of 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm (AST) on Monday.
The regional examination body is reminding stakeholders that results are preliminary and that candidates who may have questions about their grades, may submit requests for reviews and/or queries. The deadline for submission is October 7.
Official figures show that across the 16 participating territories, CSEC candidates numbered 105,078, CAPE 25,429, and the CCSLC 4736.
According to CXC, it has been in contact with regional and international higher education institutions to communicate the timing of the release of results in order to minimise the possibility of students being disadvantaged during the matriculation process.
Review
Candidates who may have questions about a grade and would like to have a script reviewed, may submit a request for a “Script Review”. A script review may result in an overall Grade either increasing or remaining the same.
If the review results in an increase in an overall grade, the candidate will receive a refund of their review fee. Reviews may be submitted through schools for in-school candidates or through the Ministry of Education for private candidates. The cost per review is US$30. (G1)
