DC Caesar-Fox Secondary formally Waramadong Secondary will have their first quarterfinal game in the Digicel schools annual knockout competition on home soil today when they take on South Georgetown winner, Sir Leon’s Lesson. The match will be played at the Bartica Community Centre in region number seven.

Defending champions Christiansburg Secondary will have home advantage when they take on the Region Six Champions; Tutorial Academy in Linden and will start as favorites.
Meanwhile, West Berbice powerhouse; Bush Lot Secondary, the Region Five Champions will be at home at the Number Fiver Ground against Annandale Secondary of East Coast Demerara; the Region Four Champions.
Chase Academy; the winner of the North Georgetown zone will travel to Lethem to take on the region Nine Champions; host Annai Secondary.
Annai and Tutorial are still to prove that they can take on the big teams. Tutorial has only competed against teams in the region thus far while Annai got pass Vergenoegen Secondary in their playoff match on Sunday but their true potential is still to be proven. The team has shown very good ball control and coordination which seems to be among the best in the tournament so far.
Bush Lot has been living on the edge in all of their games thus far in the competition surviving two penalty shootouts and won the regional final after being two down. They have proven to be fighters and their performance in the 2013 tournament is being remembered when they finished third.
Sir Leon’s Lesson will be taking the field with six players on the national team and are one of the favorites but the national players have not been training with the team recently and were exposed to a higher quality of football, will the recent exposed have a positive or negative impact on the teams ability to perform as a unit be adversely affected will be seen this afternoon.
With all of the games starting at 15:30h it will be impossible to witness more that one of what seems to be an afternoon of exciting school football, it will only be possible to witness one game.
