Darkest-ever Christmas over 3000 in Berbice

Dear Editor,
We, the Guyanese people, have gotten no apologies from President Granger for wasting millions of dollars on transforming a white State House (a national treasure) into his Green House; while, at the same time, he has the gall to issue Granger’s Green letters to over 700 sugar workers in the Lower Corentyne/East Coast Berbice area (Canje to New Amsterdam).
I am now questioning the sincerity of this President’s action. A caring and compassionate leader would have cut his own cost and use that money to offer a temporary extension to the work life of these workers going home at Christmas 2017.
What Mr Granger has done has made Christmas 2017 into one of the darkest ones for over 3,000 people in the Berbice area.
At a minimum, Mr Granger has now established his reputation as one populated by inappropriate and poor decision-making.

Regards,
