Essequibo Coast will be in for a treat when the Stag Beer Grass track Championships has it day/night edition at the Anna Regina Community Centre Ground on Saturday.
The event is expected to be the first of its kind in the community and organiser Sheik Yassen in an interview with this Guyana Times Sport on Monday explained that all systems are in place for the hosting of the event and there is much interest brewing within Essequibo populace.
Yassen also assured that the facility in perfect condition and the races will go even if there is rain.
At total of 27 daredevils are expected to compete across there different categories, with the return of 2016 champion Andrew Wong set to challenge currently leader Steven Nobrega.
There were will be five professional races (12 laps per race); three Novices (10 laps per race) and two for newcomers (10 laps per race).
The organiser expressed immense gratitude for the support of main sponsor ANSA McAL under their Stag Beer brand, Roosters Coconut water, R. Ganesh Mining, Kahn AutoZone, Savannah Riders Club and Essequibo Biker Boyz.
The event is set to commence at 16:00 hrs with tickets for Adults $500 and Children $100.
