DCB Premier Insurance U-15 Inter-Association: Mohabir’s half-century propels GT to win over West Demerara
In the DCB/Premier Insurance U-15 Inter-Association 2022 tournament, Georgetown U-15 skipper Dave Mohabir batted with confidence as he helped his team reach the victorious total of 124 for 4 from their reduced 25 overs due to early showers. They defeated West Demerara U-15 at the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC), Queenstown, Georgetown.

The rain did not stop the Georgetown players from shining as the skipper was well supported by Kishan Silas, who chipped in with 23, and Emanuel Lewis, who had 11. Permeshwar Ram and Shaker Lall were the bowlers who managed to grab one wicket apiece. Spinner Danesh Persaud claimed 2 for 11 while left-hand spinner Joshua Charles collected 2 for 2 and give their team a 64-run victory over West Demerara U-15.
In West Demerara’s reply, Lall returned with the bat and tried to take his team to their target, but fell for 12 and was the lone batter to reach double figure as the team fell for an insufficient 60 for 4 from their 25 overs.
In the upcoming games, Georgetown will battle Upper Demerara while West Demerara will face East Bank.
