DCB/Premier Insurance U15 Inter-Association 2022 tournament: East Coast spin it to win it
East Coast Demerara spin bowlers Aruna Gainda and Mickel Sharma have spun their team to victory over an Upper Demerara team in a 30-over match played at the Enmore cricket ground, ECD.

Having won the toss and elected to bat, East Coast posted 123 for 7 from their overs, reduced to 30 due to overnight showers. Middle order batter Trilok Nanan top scored with an unbeaten 22, while Aaron Kissoon chipped in with 17. Keron Phillips grabbed 3 for 13, while Croy Charles supported with 2 for 23.
In reply, Upper Demerara struggled against the East Coast spinners, and were bundled out for 37 from 10.5 overs. No batter managed to reach double figures. Mickel Sharma and Aruna Gainda collected 3 wickets for zero runs and 3 wickets for four runs respectively, while medium fast bowler Gopaul Ramchand took 2 for 13.
East Coast won by a massive 86 runs.
