“De After-Mash Fete” pulled due to sponsorship

The lack of vital corporate sponsorship has forced the organisers of the first ever “De After-Mash Fete” to cancel the event which was supposed to be held on Saturday, February 25, at the Guyana National Stadium. Capture
The promoters were of the view that an event such as this one, especially during our Mashramani celebrations, would have had an outpouring of corporate support and be given assistance by other organisations, but this was farther from reality. With a plunging economy, corporate Guyana is also complaining about sales and profits.
Already signed on to perform at the event were Mystic, Jumo Primo, Terry Gajraj, Adrian Dutchin, Shelly G, The Majestics Band, Bunty Singh, six-year-old-old Krish Singh, Young Bill Rogers, Vanilla, Fiona Singh, Trevon Vibes, Kady Kish & Dancers, the Heatwave Band, Lil Million, Davy Marley, Lil Colwin and Ernesta.
The organisers were also in discussion with several dance troupes and singers Kwasi “Ace” Edmundson, Jackie Jaxx and others to join the cast.
Trans Pacific Motor Spares and Auto Sales had placed a Toyota IST as the prize to be won by a lucky ticket holder.
Tickets sales were high already but corporate sponsorship is always needed to offset expenses such as rental of the stadium, sound systems and lighting effects, advertising on Facebook, television, radio and newspapers.
However, the organisers have thanked Trans Pacific and others for their tremendous support. Ticket holders can redeem their monies at venues where they were purchased.
