De Rosario hat-trick maintains Golden Jags’ unbeaten friendly run

A hat-trick off the boots of forward Osaze De Rosario on Monday afternoon led Guyana’s senior men’s national football team, the Golden Jaguars to a comfortable 3-1 victory over Belize as they wrapped up another pair of matches in the CONCACAF Series.
At Estadio Cibao in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, Head Coach Thomas Dooley opted for a starting XI that included goalkeeper Akel Clarke, Jalen Jones, Nathan Moriah-Welsh, Nathan Ferguson, Liam Gordon, Terrence Vancooten, Elliot Bonds, Maliq Cadogan, Osaze De Rosario, Omari Glasgow and Bryan Wharton.

De Rosario got the Golden Jaguars off to a resounding start, finding the back of the net as early as the second minute. However, Belize responded quickly, levelling the scores through a strike from Desmond Wade in the eight minute.
Not too long after, De Rosario handed Guyana the lead again in the 22nd minute. The Seattle Sounders forward went on to complete his hat-trick in the 90th+1, sealing Guyana’s 3-1 victory.
De Rosario has been especially impressive in this international window, ending as Guyana’s only goal scorer with a five-goal haul in two games.
The CONCACAF Series is a friendly competition which ensured that member associations who were no longer in contention for the FIFA 2026 World Cup would be engaged in competitive matches during the international window.
