Dean ignited the sizeable crowd in attendance when he leveled the scores in the 69th minute via penalty; the visitors had early scored in the 5th minute due to Rolex Scott’s conversion.
The dreadlocked attacking midfielder had his second shot on goal when playmaker Eion Abel powered a shot to custodian Ron Liverpool which he parried in to the path of  Dean, who had no problem slotting home  his second in the 88th.
Two minutes later Abel was on the pounce again with his attack on the backline which resulted in another deflection into the path of Dean for him to nonchalantly complete his hat-trick.
Similarly, the second game of the night had a close to an identical  result for the “home team” as Ann’s Grove United severely damaged Pouderoyen chances of making it the quarter-finals as they gave the West Demerara outfit their second consecutive  defeat in the  tournament, winning 2-1.
In the 7th minute Maxton Adams had the  East Coast side ahead when  he made a dash down the right wing, unleashing a powerful right-foot kick that the beat the diving keeper.
Pouderoyen had their moment of delight in the physical battle when Quessey Alleyne sealed a free kick that was taken from the edge of the penalty area in the 35th.
With the match locked at 1-1 with neither defence looking to break, Ryan Seares sneaked a goal in the 90th minute to secure his side’s first victory.
The tournament will continue on Wednesday at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) where Grove Hi Tech will play Northern Rangers from 18:30h followed by Western Tigers against Uitvlugt from 20:30h.
