Decomposed body of Psychiatric patient found

The decomposed body of a psychiatric patient was discovered at Golden Fleece Village, West Coast Berbice (WCB).
Reports are that at about 18:40h on Thursday, the body of a man who was identified as Conrad Willson, 64, was found at his WCB home.
According to the man’s relative, Horlad Mitchell, at about 17:00h on Thursday he received information that an obnoxious scent was emanating from his cousin’s residence.

As a result, he made checks and saw the deceased lying on his back motionlessly on the floor of his house.
It was reported that the deceased, who is a patient at the Psychiatric Clinic, New Amsterdam, lived alone. It is unclear when he was last seen alive.
The body was examined for marks of violence but due to its decomposed state, none was seen.
It was escorted to the Fort Wellington Public Hospital where the man was pronounced dead by a doctor on duty, and is presently at Bailey’s Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination.
This is the second decomposed body within days that was found in the Berbice, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) area.
Prior to this, the partly decomposed body of a man was fished out of a canal in the sugar cultivation area at Tain, Corentyne, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne).
The discovery was made by a security guard attached to the Albion Sugar Estate who observed the body of a human being floating in the said trench.
The Police were summoned and the body was physically examined and found to be male in a partially decomposed state. His ears appeared to be bitten by fish.
The body was escorted to the Port Mourant Public Hospital, where it was examined by a doctor and pronounced dead.
The body is currently at the Ramoo Funeral Home awaiting post-mortem. The body has not yet been identified. (G9)
