Demerara Bank introduces VISA Purchase Alerts

Demerara Bank on Tuesday announced the introduction of the VISA Purchase Alerts for all VISA card holders. This new feature enables users to receive instant email notifications whenever their VISA card is utilised for in-store, online transactions or other bank ATM transactions.
“In today’s era of increasing online transactions, it is imperative for our customers to remain vigilant and closely track their card activity. VISA Purchase Alerts act as a crucial tool, delivering an additional layer of security and assurance through transaction alerts,” the bank stated in a release.
To sign up for this feature, card holders are required to visit https://purchasealerts.visa.com/vca-web/check; enter and validate their active email address; securely add their VISA card information to the VISA alerts portal and finally, once registered, customers will receive real-time email notifications every time a transaction is processed using their VISA card.
