Dem Amstel United now occupy the second place position in the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Elite League III after brushing aside New Amsterdam United on Sunday.

The Leonora venue witnessed Delon Lanferman producing a hat-trick as Den Amstel secured another three points with their 4-0 drubbing of the opposition.
Lanferman drew first blood in the 27th minute, the only goal to be scored in the first 45 minutes of the encounter.
However, NA United began to wither as time went by and Den Amstel took advantage of the situation.
Lanferman doubled his tally in the 51st minute, then tripled it in the 58th minute to further solidify the lead. Andre Hector accounted for the final Den Amstel goal, which was scored two minutes later.
In the other match of the double header, Buxton United and Linden’s Milerock FC battled to a 1-1 draw.
Deshane Garnette put Buxton ahead in the 19th minute, but Keon Sear’s 33rd minute goal got things back on level ground. However, neither team were able to consistently gain the upper hand after that which led them to share points at the regulation time whistle.
