Host Den Amstel inflicted a 3-0 thumping on Beavers FC in the West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) leg of the Guyana Football Federation/NAMILCO Thunderbolt Flour Power National Under-17 Intra Association league continued on Monday.
Edward Dash, Murtland Peters and Reuben Dainty were the boys who did the talking with their boots. Dash opened the scoring in the 12th minute while two minutes later Peters doubled the scores to end the first half 2-0.
The battle continued to ensue in the second half but Dainty erased any chance of a Beavers’ revival when he netted in the 54th minute.
The matches continue this Saturday where Wales FC tackle Beaves from 12:00hrs.
In Berbice, A second half double off the boot of Romello Johnson speared Monedderlust to a 3-1 win over Lichfleid Nuggets. Monedderlust’s Brentnol Frank scored the opening goal in the 20th but six minutes later Tyrone Pompey netted the equalizer. However, Crawford added the finishing touches when he netted in the 65th and 68th respectively.
Matches are set to continue this weekend throughout the various associations.
