He was arrested on October 1 after 9.4 kilograms of ganja and two rounds of 9mm ammunition were found in his car.
Police on Saturday said that acting on information received, about 21:15h on Friday, ranks stopped a motor car, which was later found to be driven by the Deputy Superintendent, at a roadblock at Helena Number Two Public Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
The vehicle was found minutes after eluding a Police patrol in Regional Police Division Five (Mahaica-Berbice).
