DeSinco 11-race programme pedals off Saturday

Competitive cycling returns to the inner circuit of the national park when the 16th DeSinco Trading 11-race cycling programme pedals off with the first race for the BMX cyclists from 09:00h.

The event which is being run under the Degree deodorant brand is once again organized by National cycling coach, Hassan Mohamed.

The feature race of the day will see the seniors throwing down the gauntlet at each other. Team Coco’s Junior Niles will be looking to successfully defend the title he won last year in the main race, the 35-lap School Boys and Invitational.

Other events of the day will feature Guyana’s emerging and experienced riders who will look to dominate the track for 16th occasion of the event. These races include; the 12-14 three-lap race, the veterans Under 50 over a distance of five laps, Veterans over 50 also five laps, Veterans over 60 five laps, Juveniles 10 laps, Mountain Bike five laps, BMX 6-9 two laps, BMX 9-12 three laps, BMX Open three laps and the featured 35-lap affair with the School Boys and Invitational cyclists.

Veteran rider Junior Niles will be aiming to repeat his feat from last year and cop the first prize in the days’ main event.
