The Cavaliers Sports and Tour Club on Sunday, October 22 will be hosting its Ananda ET Dharry 10k Memorial Race Walk set for the National Park, Thomas Lands.
In observance of Agriculture Month, the memorial race will feature athletes competing in various categories which include Male and Female (Seniors/Juniors); Veterans and the differently abled while all participants will be eligible for prizes.
The late Ananda Dharry was an engineer who heavily contributed to the drainage and irrigation sector, which plays a crucial role in the development of the agricultural sector and as such, his commitment to the progression of walk-racing will continue through this event.
The race is expected to commence at 06:30h.
