Digicel committed to West Indies Cricket

Digicel representatives in Guyana met the West Indies and Pakistan teams upon arrival in at the Cheddie Jagan International Airport, Timehri on Monday ahead of the Brighto Paints presents Q Mobile One-Day International series, where they presented the players and management with local SIM cards.
Digicel’s Communication Manager, Vidya Sanichara in addressing the gathering stated that the company will continue to West Indies cricket as it synonymous with Caribbean culture.  “We will always support West Indies cricket because we know cricket is something in the Caribbean that goes hand in hand and we have always been behind cricket and we have never regretted it so that it why we will continue throwing put weight behind cricket,” Sanichara disclosed.
More so, the telecommunications giant will have numerous promotions and competitions to get fans to rally around the West Indies before and on match days. Most in particular will be the ‘fan of the match’ which will be awarded to the spectator who has the “most outrageous” cricket attire. Sanichara also encouraged fans to visit the company’s social media pages and stores to have a chance of winning tickets for the matches.
The first ODI is slated for Friday April 7 while the second and third are scheduled for Sunday April 9 and Tuesday April 11 respectively; all matches will be played in the day commencing at 09:30h.
Tickets for the matches cost $4,000 for Red and Green Stands, $3,000 for the Orange and $2,000 for the grass mound. Tickets can be bought at the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Regent Road Office any day between the hours of 09:00h and 19:00h.
