Digicel running with KMTC Boxing Day tradition

The 44th Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club (KMTC) Boxing Day Race Meet is just four days away and telecommunications giant, Digicel has pledged its support to keep the tradition alive.
Turfites will be in for a treat at Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne, Berbice in the Digicel sponsored event for horses classified E and Lower which carries a top purse of 0,000 and a trophy. 1

The pledge was confirmed when Digicel’s Events and Sponsorship Manager Louanna Abrams presented the sponsorship cheque on Thursday to President of the KMTC, retired Justice Cecil Kennard.
The highly anticipated eight-race programme takes place on Monday and despite the threat of rain, the track is in good condition. More than three million dollars in cash is at stake.
The races will be run under the rules of the KMTC and owners of horses must pay at least $5,000 for each horse at the time of entry.
