Plans are moving apace for the hosting of Chutney Fete which is billed for the parking lot of the Leonora Stadium, West Coast Demerara, on November 26. Organisers are making final preparation to ensure that the show is epic. Tickets are going like hot cakes and the momentum is building with only one week to go.
Presently, persons who purchase three tickets at $1500 each get the fourth absolutely free. In addition, advance tickets cost $1500 but $2000 at the gate, hence those desirous of attending the show are urged to get their tickets at the earliest opportunity. 
The event will feature reigning International Chutney Monarch Kris Persad, also called “KI”; Nishard M; and Master Saleem and Sally Sagram from Trinidad and Tobago.
The Guyanese line-up includes Steven Ramphal and Pooran Seeraj of the Shakti Sting Orchestra, as well as Aamir Khan and the Dax New Generation Band. There will be several dance troupes that will be performing on the evening of the show which will definitely add some flavour to the event.
Television and radio personality, WR Reaz is expected to be the emcee of the evening. Meanwhile, the Trinidadian artistes are expected to arrive in Guyana on Friday next – one day before the show. Tickets are available at several locations in all three counties.
