Don’t Over Look, Vera’s Finally top horses in feature event

Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Racing Committee Triple Crown Final Leg….

In the final leg of the Triple Crown horse- racing event staged by the Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Racing Committee on Easter Sunday at the Port Mourant Turf Club on the Corentyne, the animals Don’t Over Look and Vera’s Finally, owned by the Jumbo Jet Stables, dominated the top positions in the feature event.
This feature event, run over one mile, had a winner’s purse of one million dollars; and Don’t Over Look, controlled by jockey Ron Ali, came in first position while Vera’s Finally came in second position. Settling Star (third) and TNT (fourth) were among the other finishers.

Earlier in the day, a packed Port Mourant Turf Club witnessed Ready to Romance starting the day with a win, while Miss Olympic rode in second position in that I- Class race. In the second event of the day, Gold Again and Touch The Cash dominated the L-Class Open race.
In race three, Keep on Swinging It came in first, and Red Rocket out of Trinidad and Tobago came in second. They were the top horses in that H Class event. The event for 3-year-old horses saw the favourite, Valentina, living up to expectations by winning the event for the third time. Is He Perfect placed second; Mark placed third, and Mahaica Star placed fourth, as the other top finishers.
In the fifth race of the day, the J-Class race, Miss Olympic, ridden by jockey Appadoo, came in first; with Red Region (second), Gold (third) and Mary Ann (fourth) being the other top finishers.
Signing off the day was the Non-Earners 1300-metre event, which was won by First Prine of the Hyper Active Racing Stables, with Upfront finishing second, and Silver Charm in third position.
