Ryan Sobers scored both of Plaisance’s goals, while Lamar Campbell and Keshawn Dennis contributed one each for Beterverwagting.
Queen’s College enjoyed a successful day in Georgetown North, keeping clean sheets in both matches against Austin Castello Secondary. Anika DeFratus scored both goals in the female team’s 2–0 victory, while Isa Bremner’s double and a goal from Jaren Boucher secured a 3–0 win in the male encounter.
There was also a two-goal performance from Angel Forde, who helped New Campbellville Secondary defeat North Georgetown Secondary 2–1 in their female fixture. Jaslyn Hinckson scored North Georgetown’s goal.
In the other East Coast result, Annandale Secondary’s female team beat Bladen Hall Secondary 3–0. Jwan Allen netted twice, with an own goal completing the scoring.
Lodge Secondary and East Ruimveldt Secondary shared the victories in their Georgetown South meetings. Ruth Wilkinson’s goal gave Lodge a 1–0 win in the female match, but East Ruimveldt won the male fixture 2–0, with Avishadi Waterman and Jahim Hart each scoring once.
Meanwhile, Charlestown Secondary’s male and female teams progressed to the second round owing to the unavailability of Tucville Secondary.
