…miner found dead in chair
A moment of pleasure turned sour for a 49-year-old miner, who was seen imbibing alcohol on Monday at a shop at Port Kaituma waterfront, Region One (Barima-Waini), but was later found dead in a chair at the same shop.
Ken Ramandisindo, of Hosororo, Mabaruma, Region One, was found dead at about 15:31h.
Persons in the community told Police that the miner was seen imbibing alcohol at a shop during which time he sat down in a chair. A while later, he was observed to be motionless. Following the discovery, a report was made to Police and ranks from the Port Kaituma Police Station responded and examined the body.
The body was then taken to the Port Kaituma Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival. A post-mortem is scheduled to be conducted shortly. (G9)
