Driver dies after complaining to cops of feeling unwell
Taxi driver Gloyd Montrose of Lot 92 Golden Grove, East Coast Demerara (ECD) was on Friday morning operating his taxi in the ECD village of Haslington when he reportedly sought assistance of a mobile Police patrol to take him to the hospital,
because he was not feeling well.
The compliant ranks rushed Montrose to the Mahaicony Cottage Hospital; but, unfortunately, he was pronounced dead on arrival at that medical facility.
Family members, when contacted, told the Police that the 39-year-old taxi driver had been suffering from heart complications.
His body is presently at the Georgetown Public Hospital Mortuary awaiting a post mortem to determine the cause of his death.
