Driver dies in truck collision on EBD

A 24-year-old driver lost his life in the wee hours of Saturday after the truck in which he was driving collided with another truck at Supply on the East Bank of Demerara (EBD).
Dead is Ezekiel Edmond, known as “Zicky” of Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice (WCB).
In an interview with the Regional Commander of the District, Denise Griffith, she said that the accident occurred at around 1:00h on Saturday morning.
She said that at the time of the accident, there was a truck stationed on the Supply Public Road, EBD, and that based on the information they received, the dead driver, while driving in the vicinity, lost control of his vehicle and collided with the rear of the stationed truck.
Guyana Times was informed that at the time of the accident, the man was working. As a result of the accident, he sustained injuries to his body.
The man was picked up and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he underwent surgery and later succumbed to his injuries. (G9)
