– tassa, masquerade, Amerindian and Chinese drummers urged to participate

Organisers of the much anticipated “Drum Fest 2018” have now opened their doors to drummers of every ethnic division as they gear for the massive June 23 event. This event is slated for the National Park, Thomas Lands, Georgetown.
Public Relations Officer Alex Williams explained that the first initiative was more focused on African drumming but recently, the organisers decided to make it a fusion of the different ethnicities and are therefore encouraging drummers in the tassa, masquerade, Chinese and even to Portuguese drummers if they are so desirous.
