Duo granted $350,000 bail each for trafficking in narcotics
Thirty-two-year-old Shelroy Clarke and 31-year-old Patricia Grant, both of Lot 13A Goedverwagting, ECD, were on Thursday arraigned before Sparendaam Magistrate Alisha George to answer to a charge of trafficking in narcotics.

The charge alleges that on May 2, at Goedverwagting, East Coast Demerara, they had in their possession 867.8 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
The two persons pleaded not guilty, and were each placed on $350,000 bail. Their matter has been adjourned to June 3.

Also answering a charge of trafficking in narcotics on Thursday was 74-year-old Israel Jacob of Wrong Turn, 111 Miles Mahdia, Region 8, who appeared virtually before Mahdia Magistrate Sunil Scarce.
