Duo remanded for stealing from employer

Two handymen were taken before the court on Friday after items belonging to their employer went missing on January 23, 2019 at the Stabroek Market, Georgetown.
Wesley Fernand and Harry Bhawanie denied stealing from their employer when the charge was read to them.
The men are accused of stealing a quantity of women’s clothing, along with other items valued a total of $391,000, property of Manelle Rogers.
Police Prosecutor Sanj Singh informed the court that some of the items were recovered.
Magistrate Leron Daly remanded the men to prison and the case will continue on March 1, 2019.
