Duo wanted for murder of Linden man

…3rd suspect claims deceased made inappropriate advances towards him

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) has issued a wanted bulletin for Alonzo Ralph also known as “Rhino/Poh” and Deon Jonas for questioning in connection with the murder of Troy Albert who was killed between February 14 and 15, 2022, at Mahdia, Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni).

Police stated that the now dead 48-year-old handyman of Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice), was working on a land dredge along with three men. It is alleged that Albert made an inappropriate advance towards one of the men while imbibing.
However, the man armed himself with a knife and dealt Albert two stabs to his back. After committing the act, he related what had transpired to his other two colleagues.
They in turn confronted the injured Albert in the yard and allegedly dealt him several stab wounds about his body after which they made good their escape. The man who claimed that Albert made advances on him was arrested by Police in a state of intoxication.

Wanted: Deon Jonas

The body of the deceased was examined and observed to have multiple stab wounds to his back, chest, abdomen, neck, and hands. Checks were made for the two men but to no avail and as such, wanted bulletins were issued for their arrest.
Thirty-year-old Alonzo Ralph hails from Pepper Hill, Mahdia and Buckville, Wismar, Linden, while Jonas is from Buckville, Wismar, Linden.
