Premier Eagles Volleyball Club (VC) continued their impressive run in the Demerara Volleyball Association (DVA) Men’s League, overcoming Castrol Strikers 3-1 in a hard-fought encounter to strengthen their

position at the top of the standings.
Castrol Strikers made the stronger start, edging a closely contested opening set 25-23 to take an early advantage. However, the Eagles responded emphatically in the second set, dominating 25-14 to level the match.
The momentum remained with the Premier Eagles in the third set as they capitalised on their attacking strength to secure a 25-21 victory and move within one set of the match.
The fourth set produced the closest contest of the night, with both teams battling point for point. The Eagles, however, held their composure in the crucial moments to eventually close out the set 26-24 and seal the 3-1 victory.
Trevon McRae was the standout performer for the Eagles, producing 12 successful attacks, two blocks, and an ace serve in a commanding all-round display.
Vance Harding led the fight for Castrol Strikers with eight attacks and three ace serves, but his efforts were not enough to prevent the Eagles from completing another victory.
The result further underlines Premier Eagles VC’s consistency and firepower as they continue to set the pace in the DVA Men’s League.
