E-Networks tournament to serve off tonight

Badminton players who are not often in the spotlight will tonight have a chance to show off their skills as the E-Networks ‘B’ Division Easter Badminton tournament serves off.

Some of the ‘B’ Division players who recently participated in the International Sports Day for Development and Peace

The developmental tournament, slated for the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue, is organised for all upcoming badminton players, giving them a platform to compete with other players on their skill levels, and giving them a chance to medal, which will help in their progressive goals.
All national players who have represented Guyana on the international stage and ‘A’ list players will be excluded from competing in the tournament, so as to make the E-Networks competition fair.
This ‘B’ Division tournament will have both male and female categories. Additionally, there will be a consolation round in which players who are knocked out in the first round will get a chance to still compete in the tournament.
The action is expected to begin at 17.30hrs, and will run until 22.30hrs.
The Guyana Badminton Association hereby extend their heartfelt gratitude to E-Networks for coming on board, and the GBA look forward to continuous support from E-Networks towards the development of Guyana’s Badminton players.
