Eagles triumphant over Young Achievers in 1st finale

Eagles Volleyball Club triumphed on September 14 over the Young Achievers Volleyball Club in Game 1 of the DVA league finals. The game was nothing but exciting as two of the best clubs in Guyana put on a great show.
Young achievers came out swinging in the first set of the game as they defeated eagles 25-17. The persistent eagles then bounced back to claim the second and third sets 25-18 and 25-16 respectively.
Knowing their task ahead, Young Achievers came back stronger in the fourth set to win it 25-22. This forced the game into a fifth set tie breaker, which saw Eagles dominating achievers and claiming the fifth set 15-7.
The top scorers of the game were: Quacy Matheson, with 17 points; Trevon McRae, with 13 points; Adriel Moore, with 10 points.
Game 2 of the finals will commence on Friday from 7pm at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall. The game will be streamed live.
