The fixtures for the Corona Futsal in collaboration NAMILCO Wheat Germ have been released and the opening night should set the tone for what is been touted to be an exciting tournament when it gets underway from Saturday at the National Gymnasium.

Fans are in store for more futsal action at the National Gymnasium

Sparta Boss are to set engage Tiger Bay while Back Circle battle Broad Street and Leopold Street come up against Alexander Village. The other draws see YMCA in action with Albouystown and Future Stars being pitted against Team Xtreme and Plaisance face Mocha. Action is slated to commence from 19:00h and the next match day will be February 27.
The group assessments sees Group A: Alpha Warriors, Tucville, Showstoppers and Kingston; Group B: Sparta Boss, Tiger Bay, Plaisance and Mocha; Group C: Old Skool Ballers, Future Stars, Team Xtreme, and New Market Street; Group D: West Front Road, YMCA, Sophia and Albouystown; Group E: Bent Street, North East La Penitence , Channel 9 Warriors and California Square; Group F: Back Circle, Leopold Street, Alexander Village and Broad Street.
The lucrative tournament sees the winning purse being $600,000 and the championship trophy. Second to fourth will take home $300,000, $150,000 and $75,000 along with the corresponding accolades.
Two motor cycles will be awarded, one to the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and the other to a lucky spectator at the grand finals on Easter Saturday (March 31).
More so, with teams being split into six groups of four, the battle will not be just to progress to the knock-out stages but cop the group prizes; $40,000 for first place team, $30,000, $20,000 and $10,000 will be awarded to second to fourth-place group teams.
