Home Sports East Bank Table Tennis Club host C’ships
The East Bank Tennis Club hosted its second junior and Pre -Cadet Table Tennis championships over the Easter weekend which was aimed at providing competition amongst the developing players in the district.
Over thirty players participated in the four category competition held at the club’s facility Juju Place, Grove.
The club is slowing developing its talents having had an exchange programs with Linden ad the second east bank championships all kudos to Coach Candacy Mc kenzie making a difference.

Boys 11yrs
In the boys 11 years and under category played in a four (4) player round robin finals Aaron Fraser played unbeaten in the to emerge the champion. He defeated Joshua Persaud 11-6, 11-8; Andron Fraser 11-9, 11-8; Rayfield Hillaman 11-9, 11-7. Hillaman emerged in second position with wins over Joshua Persaud (11-4,11-6) and Andron Fraser (11-5,11-7); Joshusa Persaud finished third with a lone win over Andron Fraser (11-6, 11-9)
Boys 13yrs
In semifinals action Christopher Barrow defeated Rayfield Hillman 3-0 (11-4, 11-5, 11-4) while Aaron Fraser defeated Justin Weekes (11-9, 10-12, 11-9)
Christopher Barrow emerged champion when he defeated Aaron Fraser to win the boys under 13 title
Boys 15yrs
In finals action coming off of his C Class win at the GTTA LFS Burnham TT championships Curtis Mc Crae defeated Christopher Barrow 12-10, 11-9, 11-7 in a close three sets to claim the title.
Girls category
In the much vaunted Girls 13-year category, National cadet players and Caribbean Cadet bronze medalist Nkechi Mc Crae emerged the champion when she defeated all comers and her club mates Tatyana Mohamed, Rozana Saunders and Rachel Saunders in straight sets.
Second place went to Mohamed who defeated Saunders 11-7,11-9, 11-8
