– another gets bail on dangerous driving charge
Ivan Alexander McPherson, the driver of motor vehicle PAB 4000, was arrested and charged on Monday, October, with the offence of dangerous driving.
McPherson appeared before Magistrate Omadat Chandan at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to him. He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail in the sum of $20,000. He is expected to make his next court appearance on November 26, 2026.
Meanwhile, also on Monday, 35-year-old Andrian Forris, of Carrol Place, Mocha, East Bank Demerara (EBD), appeared before Magistrate D Bess at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate’s Court, where he pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while his breath alcohol level exceeded the prescribed limit.
Forris, who was the driver of minibus BWW 1003, was arrested on Saturday, October 10, 2026, and subsequently charged for the offence.
He reportedly pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined $200,000 or an alternative of nine months’ imprisonment.
