Twenty-four-year-old Fazal Shakir of Le Ressouvenir Railway Embankment Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD), pleaded not guilty to a robbery with violence charge and was granted bail by Magistrate R Liverpool.
Shakir was accused of assaulting Fareed Gani during a robbery on August 23, 2021. Based on investigation, the charge was instituted and as such, he made his appearance at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court.
After pleading not guilty to the charge, he was released on 50,000 bail and the matter was adjourned to October 6, 2021.
