ECD man shot in failed execution attempt

An East Coast Demerara (ECD) man escaped death on Thursday evening after a man with whom he had an old grievance opened fire on him.
Quazan Pellew, 44, of Bachelor’s Adventure, ECD was shot to his feet and was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
According to reports received, at about 20:30h, the now injured man was on the roadway in his village when the suspect rode up to him and discharged rounds in his direction. After the man was shot, the suspect escaped and remains at large.
Police have launched an investigation into the shooting incident.
