Education Ministry’s Literacy Dept to launch writing camp initiative

Education Minister Sonia Parag met Saturday with some talented young authors to kickstart a permanent, year-round writing camp that the Ministry describes as a game-changing initiative. Hosted by the Ministry’s Literacy Department, the Ministry noted that it isn’t just a workshop; it’s a movement to turn students into published voices and pave the way for improved literacy and literature performances across all school levels, countrywide.

“It will help you be better writers, and it will also inspire other children to write more and to write better,” Minister Parag told the young writers and their parents in attendance.
The programme will soon begin with 30 young writers, using interactive activities to transform how our students see the power of the pen, the Ministry stated.
