Elderly EBD woman missing 1 week now

A 92-year-old woman of Vanquick, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, has been reported missing for over a week, and her friends are seeking the public’s help in locating her.
Elsie Dickson, of Lot 191 Vanquick, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, East Bank Demerara (EBD) was last seen on March 18, 2018 by a son of her friend.

Dickson was discovered missing around 13:00h on Tuesday when a man who sells groceries to her knocked on her door, but received no response.
According to her neighbour, Rural Constable Walvis Hinds, the woman, who has no children, lives alone.
Hinds reported that a woman who looks after Dickson’s pension sent her son to take vegetables to her on Sunday afternoon.
The young man was reportedly sent by Dickson to do some errands after which he left.
On Tuesday, when the grocer got no response, Hinds proceeded to check Dickson’s home, but she was nowhere to be found.
“She’s a pensioner and there’s a bus that does bring grocery in the village and she does normally order thing and when they come, she would just pay them and collect she things. When they come, they would knock at the house and she would come out, so when they de knocking and she ain’t coming out, they ask me if she sleeping deep and I seh `no, she usually don’t’,” Hinds said.
Checks were also made in the woman’s yard, but she could not be found.
“We didn’t see any footsteps or anything, and the house was just normal, normal. Up to now, we ain’t hear anything from anyone and we don’t know where she gone,” the man said.
Dickson is reportedly in good health and is said to be capable of taking care of herself.
Contact was made with a niece of the woman, but to no avail.
“Her niece called me and while talking to her, the phone cut off and she never called back,” Hinds reported.
As such, a report was made to the Timehri Police Station, and the Police are investigating.
