Home News Electric motorcyclist injured following collision
Bibi Razac of 104 Main Street, Cumberland, East Canje Berbice has been admitted a patient at the New Amsterdam Hospital following an accident that occurred on Wednesday along the Sheet Anchor Public Road in East Canje, Berbice.
The accident involved motor car PRR 2107, owned and driven by a 42-year-old resident of Tucber Park, New Amsterdam, and Razac, 57, who was riding an electric bike.
Based on reports received, the motorcar was proceeding along the roadway, and the driver alleges that he indicated his intention to make a turn into Burnt Bush Dam in East Canje. Whilst doing so, he said, Razac ended up in his path, thus resulting in a collision.
As a result of that collision, Razac received injuries about her body. She was picked up in a conscious condition by the said driver and taken to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital, where she was admitted with her left wrist and right foot fractured.
The driver of the motor car remains in custody, assisting with the investigation.
