He pleaded not guilty to all seven charges when they were read to him, and has been placed on $30,000 bail on each of the two counts of dangerous driving, but was placed on self-bail on the other charges.
The matters have been adjourned until September 30. The Police have said that on September 1, Nestor was driving motorcar PMM 1760 when he overtook a double lane of traffic on Mandela Avenue, Georgetown.
A Police constable signalled him to stop, but he ignored the signal and continued driving to his destination on the East Bank of Demerara (EBD) corridor.
The Police rank reportedly went in pursuit of him with the siren and light flashing, but Nestor continued driving. He was eventually intercepted at Eccles, EBD, where he was arrested.
