Enterprise crowned 2017 Busta T20 champs

Enterprise Busta Sports Club were crowned champions of the 2017 Busta T20 tournament after beating Fairfield by 73-runs in the finals played last Sunday at the Enterprise Sports Clun Ground.

Bhaskar Yadram blasted 91 and former national all-rounder Zaheer Mohamed supporting with an even 50.
Damien Lovell was the most successful bowler with 4-16 from 3 overs for Fairfield who were not keen to the task; folding for 116 after Kamesh Yadram bagged 4-22 and C. Sing 3-16. Yadram was the man to carry away the lion’s share of the awards which included; Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Most sixes and the only century; for his performances during the competition.
Prior to the start of the competition, Minister of Social Cohesion/Sports George Norton bowled the first ball of the final game to which he followed with encouraging words.
Meanwhile, Anand Sanasie, Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Secretary; gave feature address while Guyana Beverages Inc. Commercial Manager Samuel Arjoon- assured the club of 10th year sponsorship as well as a bigger tournament.
The competition which featured 14 teams was sponsored by the Guyana Beverages Inc. who has been sponsoring the Enterprise club and their competition for the past 9 years; with Enterprise winning the competition on seven different occasions.
