In an emotional Facebook Live broadcast recorded before his death, Lil Saint revealed that he had been battling serious health complications for the past four years, which he attributed to excessive alcohol use.
Speaking candidly to his followers, he said he had suffered persistent abdominal pain and vomiting and had undergone medical evaluations at several public health institutions, including hospitals in Lethem and Georgetown. According to the artiste, doctors eventually diagnosed him with a condition affecting his pancreas, and he was preparing to undergo what he described as major surgery.
Although he admitted he had been frightened by the prospect of the operation and had postponed it twice, Lil Saint said he had found the courage to move forward.
He also used the livestream to express heartfelt gratitude to his wife, crediting her with standing by him through his illness and encouraging him during some of his darkest moments.
