ERC takes sensitisation exercise to Moruca, surrounding villages

The Ethnic Relations Commission (ERC) continues its mission to foster harmony and good relations through Regional sensitisation initiatives. On Monday, the Commission conducted an outreach exercise in the Moruca Sub District in Region One, Barima-Waini.
During the outreach, which was held at the Paloma Benab, Kumaka, the ERC team edified the residents on the functions of the ERC and informed them of efforts towards achieving its constitutional mandate.
The team engaged with residents to understand the challenges faced in their respective communities, inclusive of Santa Rosa, Manawarin, Rincon, Waramuri, Parakese, and others.

Responding to concerns of issues raised, ERC committed to investigating matters within their functions and to aid in the referral of those that require intervention from other agencies/ministries.
